Albert Berriz, Mary Cullen Guttman join editorial board of AnnArbor.com

By Tony Dearing

The Editorial Board for AnnArbor.com has expanded to include participation from the community.

Albert Berriz, chief executive officer for McKinley Inc., and Mary Cullen Guttman, a center administrator at the University of Michigan Institute of Social Research, have joined our editorial board. We’ll be adding another community member to the board in the near future.

The editorial board meets weekly to discuss issues and formulate the editorial opinion of AnnArbor.com. In addition to community members, who will rotate on and off the board every four months, our editorial board includes Matt Kraner, president and CEO of AnnArbor.com; Laurel Champion, executive vice president; and Tony Dearing, chief content officer.

Berriz holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern University and oversees an Ann Arbor-based real estate company with more than 1,000 employees. He has been involved in many community organizations, including the United Way, Community Foundation, Ann Arbor SPARK, the Michigan Theater and the Neutral Zone. In 2008, he received the Community Leadership and Philanthropy award from the March of Dimes.

Guttman holds an associate degree in public administration from Washtenaw Community College and has lived in Ann Arbor for nearly 30 years. She works at the Research Center for Group Dynamics, a center within the Institute for Social Research. She helped create and manage the first online school newsletters for Clague Middle School and Huron High School. She’s a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House, a local book club member and a long-time volunteer for the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair.
