Job Title: Account Executive

Work Experience: Minimum two years

Job Description:
The Account Executive will work with our marketing partners to enhance our overall business growth. The candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of revenue goal achievement through prospecting, networking and developing relationships. The position requires a proactive sales mentality to seek out and acquire new business while also maintaining relationships and representing the company to external parties. The highly motivated candidate must have a proven track record in creating both on and offline placements and programs for local and national advertisers and marketing partners. The person must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment focused on value creation and accountability.

• Reports to the Sales Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Cold call and respond to inquiries to acquire new accounts and build the business
• Develop and deliver sales presentations face to face and via telephone
• Communicate regularly with customers to develop long-term relationships
• Network to develop relationships for future business prospects
• Meet and exceed sales goals as set by the Sales Manager
• Coordinate with other Sales Consultants to develop an effective sales strategy
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Two years college education - minimum
• Minimum two years advertising sales experience preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Commission driven and goal-oriented
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Highly organized
• Desire to work for a company that rewards performance
• Willingness to engage in business development

Job Title: Part-time web developer

Job Description: AnnArbor.com has an opening for a part-time web developer. We're looking for a talented individual to work with our business and editorial teams to improve the site. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills that touch on both the front and backends of development.

Duties & Responsibilities: In addition to development, the position will include other operational areas of running a website:
-- Frontline technical support for our staff as they use our web-based applications.
-- QA and code review on applications built by other members of the development team.
-- Running deployments and updates, some of which occur outside of regular business hours.

Pluses:
-- Experience with Django, OpenX, SiteCatalyst, Puppet, Capistrano, SVN, Apache, Movable Type, and Mobile applications.
-- Familiarity with web APIs, other development frameworks, and backend technologies.
-- An interest in learning and sharing new technologies and techniques for web development.
-- A passion for user experience
-- Journalism or advertising experience.
