Mazda will announce its plans for the joint venture manufacturing facility that is shares with Ford Motor Co. by mid-year, its CFO said Friday in Japan.

The result may be pulling out of the factory, according to a report on Freep.com.

Both Ford and Mazda USA spokespeople refused to comment, the report said.

The Ford Mustang and Mazda 6 are produced in the plant, located southeast of Romulus and about 30 miles from Ann Arbor.
