Google recently announced that it will select several communities nationwide in which to install Google Fiber(http://www.google.com/appserve/fiberrfi/), an ultra-high speed broadband network streaming data at a rate of 1 gigabit per second.
The City of Ann Arbor hopes to be chosen, and is teaming up with the University of Michigan to complete Google's Request for Information (RFI), which is due March 26.
Google has indicated that a major component of the selection process will be community support (http://www.a2fiber.com/other-community-supporters) and participation - and your help is needed!
