Ypsilanti Township Burger King closes doors
The Burger King located at 2387 Ellsworth Rd. in Ypsilanti Township has closed.

A Burger King restaurant located in Ypsilanti Township on Ellsworth Road closed last week and company signs have been taken off the building.
The restaurant was located at 2387 Ellsworth Road adjacent to a Taco Bell near the Roundtree Place shopping complex, which is owned by Centro Properties.
According to township records, the restaurant was franchised by Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc., which is Burger King Corp.'s largest franchisee in the United States.
Carrols operates more than 500 Burger King restaurants across the country.
Calls and emails to Burger King headquarters were not returned and Carrols could not be reached for comment.
The assessed value of the property is $397,800.00, making its market value $795,600.
With this closure, Burger King has one other location in Ypsilanti at 823 E. Michigan Ave.
In 2012, the company added 485 new restaurants to its portfolio. The company has more than 12,000 restaurants in 81 countries.
