Chamber and DTE hosting blood drive on Aug. 18

The Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber, the American Red Cross and DTE Energy Resources have partnered to provide an opportunity to help save lives by hosting a blood drive on from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at the DTE Center Community Room at 425 S. Main St. in Ann Arbor.

Without willing donors, the American Red Cross could not meet the blood needs at southeastern Michigan hospitals. Donating blood is easy, it costs you nothing- except a little of your time- and will give you a sense of pride and satisfaction that is beyond words.

Save the Date: Impact 2010 & Candidate Mixer

In anticipation of the November general election, the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber, in conjunction with The Center for Michigan, is bringing area business and community leaders together to network and enhance their knowledge and understanding of policy issues affecting the state. Policy issue panel discussions will include the state constitutional convention ballot proposal and state tax structure.

Immediately following Impact will be an After-Hours Candidate Mixer. All candidates countywide for federal, state and local level elected office will be invited to attend. For Chamber members and Impact attendees this is a unique opportunity to mix, mingle and connect with the area’s future elected officials.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for Impact 2010 and our pre-general election After-Hours Candidate Mixer, both of which will be held on Oct. 1. Sponsors committing now will receive maximum exposure by being included in all event promotional materials.
