Chelsea Alehouse Brewery owner Chris Martinson told Concentrate Media for a story Wednesday that he's expecting to open shop late this fall.

The new brewery is slated to open in a 4,200-square-foot space in downtown Chelsea's Clocktower development.

Martinson said he's left some of the building's original features — including cement floors, overhead trusses and industrial windows — intact, according to the story.

He told AnnArbor.com in March that the plan for the space was to use roughly 1,000 square feet for the brewery and transform the rest into a pub with sandwiches, salads and appetizers.

For job-seekers in the area, the Chelsea Alehouse Brewery website also says it's hiring.

Congratulations Chris for following your dream. I would love to talk to you about opening a brewery of my own some day.
