Consul General of the People's Republic of China visits Michigan business and governmental leaders

Chinese Consul General Zhao Wei-Ping, newly appointed to his post, was invited to Michigan by Chinese Association of Greater Detroit president Lisa Gray of Northville to meet with business and governmental leaders.

Zhao spoke of the passion and enthusiasm he witnessed from the business and government officials he met in Michigan in building cultural, educational and economic ties between Michigan and China.

Michigan Economic Development Corp. President Mike Finney welcomed Zhao to Michigan on behalf of Gov. Rick Snyder; Finney also spoke of building bridges between Michigan and China in ways that creates jobs and build wealth on both sides of the ocean.
