By Lizzy Alfs

Enercon Services Incorporated opened its 18th office on the second floor of the Clocktower building in Chelsea, the Chelsea Standard reported yesterday.

The employee-owned company, founded in 1983, is an engineering, environmental, technical and management services firm.

There are currently nine employees in the Chelsea office, and the branch could reach 20 employees in the near future, office manager Larry Fletcher told the Chelsea Standard.

Fletcher said the company’s main local client is Consumers Energy in Jackson. He also said the office wants to secure Novi-based ITC Holdings as a client. Enercon designs transmission line and substations.
