The owners of several popular Ann Arbor restaurants are moving forward with plans to open a third Jolly Pumpkin restaurant, Patch reports.

The new location, which will be on South Main Street in Royal Oak, recently received approval for its small wine maker, small distiller and microbrew licenses from the Royal Oak City Commission.

The 8,200-square-foot restaurant is taking over a long-vacant Citizens Bank. Plans include an outdoor garden and an area for retail sales.

There are Jolly Pumpkin restaurant locations on South Main Street in Ann Arbor and in Traverse City. There is a brewery in Dexter.

Business partners Jon Carlson and Greg Lobdell of Blue Tractor and Cafe Habana will act as operational general manager and general contractor, according to the report.

Other ventures they’re involved with: Ann Arbor’s Grizzly Peak; Traverse City’s Mission Table, North Peak Brewing Company, Kilkenny’s Irish Pub and Bastone Brewery; and Royal Oak’s Vinotecca.

They recently announced plans to expand the Ann Arbor Blue Tractor location into its neighboring space, and move Cafe Habana to the Parthenon Restaurant on South Main Street downtown Ann Arbor.
