The award recognizes outstanding recycling and sustainability efforts on the part of Ann Arbor businesses.

From April, 2008 through January, 2010, Briarwood Mall recycled 127,950 pounds of containers. The mall had been recycling since 2007, but was able to increase recycling volumes through
using the City of Ann Arbor’s free recycling program.
