Paparazzi: Charles Reinhart Co. donates 807 pounds of food, $100 to Ann Arbor's Food Gatherers
The Charles Reinhart Co. recently held a food drive for , collecting $100 and more than 800 pounds of food for the nonprofit Food Gatherers.

Reinhart held a food drive at their December all-company meeting, in which agents were asked to bring donations of non-perishable food items such as rice, dry beans, cereal, granola bars and soup.
Employees of the Charles Reinhart Co. were able to donate 807 pounds of food in addition to $100 to Food Gatherers. With a grant from the Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan, a 50 percent matching contribution was given as well. According to Food Gatherers, 807 pounds of food and $150 in donations allows them to provide about 1,071 meals.

Don't mean to be a hater here, but this just goes down harshly. I mean...a company making a big show of donating some food and a hundred bucks... You want to be in the news for that? A photo-op? In the words of a great philosopher, "what do you want, a cookie?"

This was a great opportunity to help those in our community that are not as fortunate as most, and this is a terrific organization to support! Great job to everyone.
