The following is a list of achievements by businesses and individuals in the Ann Arbor area:

• Ann Arbor-based Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling recently added several new staff members: Dennis Mitchell was named the company’s marketing representative; Jeff Teachout was named project manager; Mike Meyers was named an estimator for the company’s reconstruction and remodeling projects; and Jeremy Rose was named emergency services manager.

• The board of directors of Ann Arbor-based Tecumseh Products Co. on Dec. 11 approved the appointment of James Wainright as president and CEO, effective Dec. 14. Wainright has served as the Company's acting President since Oct. 2, and previously served as the company as vice president of global operations. In related news, Michael A. Noelke was named executive vice president for sales, marketing and engineering for Tecumseh Products on Dec. 23.

• The Purple Rose Theatre Co., based in Chelsea, was awarded a grant of $17,000 from the Chelsea Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, to continue its partnership with the Chelsea District Library in developing new plays for the American theater.

• The firms of two Ann Arbor Allstate agents have been designated "Premier Service Agents." Brian Hickman of the Brian Hickman Insurance Agency and Daniel Amori of the Daniel Amori Insurance Agency received the designation for exceeding customer expectations. Less than 21 percent of Allstate’s agency owners countrywide are given the designation.
