Reporters from The Atlantic magazine looking for Ann Arbor startups to visit

By Ben Freed

The Atlantic magazine is sending two reporters to the Midwest to get a closer look at the region’s startup companies and entrepreneurial culture, and they are asking residents to recommend companies and individuals to speak with.

MLive.com’s Melissa Anders reports that the pair will be stopping in Ann Arbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Lansing as they trek across the state looking for innovation.

The tour follows a similar trip the reporters, Alexis Madrigal and Sarah Rich, took through the South last year. Anders said that they are asking for suggestions of people to meet, places to go and even where to eat through The Atlantic's website.

Anders writes that the trip is focusing on Michigan, with stops also in Chicago, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
