For some Black Friday shoppers at Ann Arbor's Briarwood Mall, jaw-dropping deals aren't the only thing that draw their attention.

Jaw-dropping abs generate some buzz, too.

Clothing stores Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister have stationed shirtless male greeters at all of their locations for Black Friday, including Briarwood, where gawkers took in the sights and snapped photos with the young models.

Ida Hendrix, Briarwood Mall's general manager, said the models tend to be very popular.

"They have their models for other events and they get a lot of attention," she said.

But Black Friday shopper Brent Gallagher said he would rather sit on a couch and relax than go inside Abercrombie & Fitch with his wife.

“I think the shirtless guys were enough for me at the door,” he said. “Honestly, I’m still not sure what the appeal is to do the Black Friday thing. It doesn’t really interest me.”

I was one of these models. I am also in marketing as a full time profession. Let me shed some light on the subject... All Hollister stores are layed out like the Huntington Beach Pier in California. If you go to "the pier" you will see many shirtless surfers and beach-goers. The models were dressed for the theme. As a recent college grad I am just happy to pick up a side job that helps pay back my student loans. And for all the people who made snide little remarks like "t is after all a clothing store, so wouldn't you wish to show off you marvelous clothes?" Well, out of 20 employees working at each store, 18 of them were in the stores clothing and 2 of them were in swimwear... This is just a viewpoint from someone who worked that night on black Friday.

Needed a couple shirtless female models to be equal. I am suprised some Ann Arbor lawyer does not have a law suit filed for such biased and unequal behavior!

Men without shirts, in shorts and flip-flop stand in front of A&F stores nationwide and at the Briarwood Mall location in Ann Arbor during November's 'Black Friday' sales. More news at 5PM...

I've seen better eye candy then this. These men have love handles. Need sexier to get my attention.

This is really progressive! I think it is sort of cool seeing males exploited for their natural beefiness. However, just to be fair, a few hotties in string bikinis wouldn't be all bad either. Preferably, without implants!

Eight Black Friday news articles within 24 hours. Pure news genius.

Hehe...it got my/sister's attention! Hehe...I felt sort of pervy (the guys were probably 15 years younger than me...hehehe)

This is the only thing that would make me consider braving the wilds of Briarwood today.

Frankly, I think it is totally stupid. It is after all a clothing store, so wouldn't you wish to show off you marvelous clothes. Another free advertisement.

What would this story be about if the models were girls in bikinis? Exploitation of women?

Yes, because no other business has ever used women in this sort of manner. Hooters, the Bud girls and Victorias secret do it every day. I have no problem with either

Nope, exploitation of men. Much better.

Another biased story...only males are included.

Probably only the males went shirtless!
