Starbucks Coffee on South University Avenue reopens after renovations

By Lizzy Alfs

The Starbucks Coffee on South University Avenue near the University of Michigan campus reopened Tuesday following three weeks of renovations, the Michigan Daily reports.

The coffee shop closed on Dec. 19 to remodel while students were on winter break. It reopened at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Among the improvements: new furniture, chalkboards for customers’ use and tables made from reclaimed wood.

The renovations are a routine procedure for all Starbucks locations, a spokesperson wrote in a statement.

watching the people go to that building while it was under construction was quite hilarious. Some would get about 20 feet into the space before asking, "are you under renovation?" Apparently the blocked out windows and signs everywhere didn't tip some people off.

After you pick up that mocha, please carry it as you stop, look both ways, and proceed directly across at the crosswalk when traffic is clear. Then proceed to drink the Joe. LOL
