Tecumseh Products Co. has named James Wainright company president and chief executive officer, Crain's Detroit Business reported.

The article says Wainright, 55, has been the company's acting president since Oct. 7. Before that he was vice president of global operations.

Tecumseh Products, which moved its operations from Tecumseh to Pittsfield Township last year, makes compressors used in machines such as refrigerators and air conditioners.
