University of Michigan students connect with Ann Arbor firms at MPowered career fair
The student-led MPowered Entrepreneurship club at the University of Michigan drew some 2,000 students to its third annual career fair Tuesday for businesses in the Ann Arbor region.
More than 80 companies attended the event to recruit talented U-M students.
The event is an effort to connect the Ann Arbor region's entrepreneurial companies to prospective young employees.
Economic development leaders hope that students will become educated about local job opportunities and opt to stay in Michigan after graduating, rather than fleeing the state.
