National Signing Day is the first week of February and its when most high-profile football players realize a part of their dreams and sign their National Letter of Intent. Basketball breaks it into two parts with an early signing day in November and a regular period in April.
The regular period opened today, which means former Pioneer High School basketball player James Kelly made his commitment to Miami official.

Skyline High School will host the Sky Tri Triathlon on Sunday, April 21, to benefit the boys and girls high school swimming programs, and Lincoln High School will host the Lincoln RailSprinter 5K Run/Walk the following Saturday, April 27.
More after the jump…TEMPERANCE -- Milan spent the entire season beating up on mostly Class B and C competition, but proved it could do it against Class A competition on Wednesday with a 77-55 wi over Saline in the Class A district semifinal at Bedford High School. Lincoln nearly pulled off an upset of the host Kicking Mules, but Bedford prevailed and will play Milan for a district title on Friday.

Overall, Washtenaw County wrestlers went 10-9 in opening round matches on Day 1 of the three-day event, with wrestlers from the area going 5-1 in Division 1, 4-3 in Division 2 and 1-5 in Division 3.
