Michigan had three players chosen in last week's NFL draft, defensive end Brandon Graham, punter Zoltan Mesko and safety Stevie Brown. Here's a roundup of where those three and the rest of the Wolverines' draft-eligible players are headed:

A month ago, Stevie Brown looked like a long shot to get drafted. He played out of position as a senior, didn’t get invited to the NFL combine and didn’t play in any postseason all-star games.

But with a strong showing at Michigan’s pro day earlier this month, Brown helped his stock enough that he might sneak into the later rounds.

Safety has been Michigan’s biggest problem on defense this year. Stevie Brown moved from safety to linebacker last offseason, and Troy Woolfolk from safety to cornerback this fall.

Five days ago, Michigan safety Stevie Brown stood at a podium and talked about the Wolverines making an improbable push toward the Rose Bowl.

“I have a feeling,” Brown said. “I don’t know if anybody else has a feeling, but I have this feeling. If we can win out, I think we have a chance that we might be able to make it to the Rose Bowl.”

He clearly had overreached with the pronouncement, and everyone knew it. But it was hard to not appreciate his earnestness.

Donovan Warren and Stevie Brown sat on the Michigan bench, white towels draped over their heads, seemingly waiting for the game to end, for the nightmarish day inside Michigan Stadium to finally, mercifully stop.

Yet almost to add insult to everything else, Brown and Warren had to go back out on the field one more time to let Penn State run one more play in a long-over game.

But Michigan football coach Rich Rodriguez said the Nittany Lions’ league-best defense is not a product of poor competition.

Penn State (6-1, 2-1) ranks second nationally in scoring defense, fifth in total defense and has given up the fewest rushing and passing yards in the Big Ten.

"They've controlled every game they've played,” Rodriguez said. “Even in the Iowa game, they were in control and had a blocked punt that changed momentum with 10 minutes to go in the game. They've really dominated from a standpoint of time of possession, ball control, defense, getting three-and-outs.”

The problems continue for former Michigan football player Justin Feagin.

The 20-year-old former wide receiver was arraigned in Ann Arbor on Monday for his role in a failed drug deal that ended up being part of the reason he was booted from the Michigan football team. He was charged with conspiracy to deliver and possession of less than 50 grams of cocaine. He could face a maximum of 20 years in prison on the conspiracy charge.

Stevie Brown knows what it's like to be on an island.

For three years, Brown started at safety, finding both success and failure in a position that often left him in one-on-one situations. He played 38 consecutive games, making 13 starts with 106 tackles and three interceptions. But the times he got beat in the open field often defined his play.

So over the off-season, Brown was moved to a hybrid linebacker spot by new defensive coordinator Greg Robinson, who saw the opportunity to use Brown's athleticism and speed in a new way.

On both sides, the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry is considered the best in college football

For five seasons it has been the same in late November. Joy in Columbus. Anger in Ann Arbor.

Yet while all of the current Ohio State and Michigan players have experienced the OSU-Michigan game as a one-sided outcome as Ohio State has won five in a row, the acknowledgement remains on both sides.
