More Than Four Walls
Product offers ability to capture video footage of pets' activities from their vantage point
Do you have a pet that wanders? Are you interested in knowing what your cat does when he is outdoors and out of your sight?
Seeing the world reliably from a companion animal's point of view has always proven challenging. But new technology has allowed a company out of Clearwater, Fla. to employ the use of a 1.2-ounce video camera with an 8-GB flash memory and power source (lithium-ion battery) inside a weatherproof shell.
The unit attaches to a pet's collar with a clip.
Now, pet owners everywhere can see what their four-legged friends are up to — and from a whole new vantage point with the EYENIMAL Video Cam from DOGTEK. Capable of holding 2.5 hours of footage time with video and sound, the unit plugs into a PC via a USB cable and downloads the video directly with no special software.
The unit is indicated for dogs and cats 60 pounds and under and is priced at $129.
