99% Spring Comes To Chelsea; Part Of Nationwide Week-Long Effort to Train 100k Progressive Activists In Non-Violent Direct Action

Local residents will gather on April 15 to take part in an unprecedented week-long nationwide progressive mobilization, called 99% Spring, to take back the country for the 99%.

 

At the meeting, the activists will be trained in non-violent direct action and will be connected with others in their community to take back Chelsea for the 99%. The event in Chelsea is part of a week-long mobilization that will train more than 100,000 activists.

 

99% Spring will build off major progressive actions last year including the protests in Wisconsin for worker rights, the actions outside the White House to stop the Keystone Pipeline, Occupy Wall Street and the Move Your Money campaign.

 

“On Sunday, April 15, we will join with more than 100,000 others nationwide to stand-up for the 99%,” said Colleen Verge of Chelsea-99% one of the event organizers. “It is only through a massive undertaking like this we can break the 1% domination on virtually every aspect of our society – from business to government. We will train the 99% to take the country back for the 100%.
