Are you interested in learning more about addiction and recovery for any reason, personal or professional?  Dawn Farm’s free annual Education Series will kick-off on Tuesday September 18, 2012 with Addiction 101, presented by James Balmer, President of Dawn Farm. This program will examine the dynamics of drinking and drug use, review addiction as a brain disease and describe the process of recovery from chemical dependency.

Chemical dependency is a chronic, progressive, complex brain disease. The good news is that with accurate information and appropriate help, people with alcoholism and drug addictions can and do achieve long term recovery. Join us to learn about the problem – and the solution!

All programs in the Education Series are FREE and open to anyone interested in attending – no registration is required. Programs will be presented on various Tuesday evenings from September 18, 2012 through May 28, 2013, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Education Center auditorium, at 5305 Elliott Drive in Ypsilanti.

The Education Series is organized by Dawn Farm, a non-profit community of programs providing a continuum of chemical dependency services.
