When placing an order for music from Deep in the Heart of Louisiana today, the following exchange occurred:
"Now, Mr. Leslie, what town do you live in up in Michigan?"
"Ann Arbor. That's two words. 'Ann' and 'Arbor."
"And Arbor? Is the first word, 'And?"
(I thought to myself, "Now, c'mon, how many cities in the world begin with the word 'And?" However, I held back my A2 arrogance.)
"ANN Arbor - A - N - N!"
If as someone in East Lansing once suggested, "A.A. stands for Arrogant (slang for Donkey)," I guess it never hurts to be humbled!
