Chelsea High School’s talented song and dance performance group, Company C, will be paying tribute to the Motown Sound at their annual spring show, Friday and Saturday, May 18th and 19th, 7:30pm at the CHS auditorium.

Now in it’s 22nd year, the Company C troupe have been rehearsing since January for this show. Titled One Voice: Motown Soul, the show features the Company C singers dressed in retro costumes and hair styles performing songs made famous by Detroit’s own Motown record label dating back to the mid 1960s. “This show is going to be spectacular,” says Company C and CHS Director of Choirs, Steve Hinz. “Our costume designer Michelle Friss has created a colorful, classic retro look for each performer, making them look and feel like they are truly back in the hey day of Motown.”

Co. C is a group of choral students from Chelsea High who combine high-energy music and dance routines to entertain audiences in Michigan and the Midwest.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and senior citizens, and are available at Chelsea Pharmacy or at the door.  Go to chelseachoirs.com for more information.
