Good Samaritans

Yesterday (8/26) around 7Pm I was walking my dog south on St. Francs Dr. on the corner of Stadium and felt the aura of a seizure.  My left hand began to feel as if it had caught fire, as it usaully does, and surges of what felt like electricity went through my brain and into the left side of my body.  When these auras occur I have about 30 seconds to a minute to react and I tried to dial 911.  I ended up dropping my phone on the ground and had enough time to tie my dog to the nearby fence and lay on the ground in order to prevent falling and injuring myself.  I felt the seizure take full stride and felt my body violently convulsing as I had lost all control.  I'm unaware of how long I was convulsing but heard a voice asking me if I was ok and if their was anything they could do to help.  I tried but was unable to respond.  I then seen the hazy image of a middle aged man and his wife above me.  They called 911 and comforted me until the ambulance arrived.  There was also a medical student and two younger woman who also aided the good samaritans.  I even heard a woman yell from her car if anyone needed CPR.  The ambulance arrived and after a couple hrs I started to feel better.  The man who first helped even came and visited me at the VA hospital to see if I was ok.  I believe he said his name was Billy.  

I wanted to thank them all for this proved to me that no matter how bad this world can seem at times there are still several people out there full of love and compassion and its people like this that make this world a better place.  Also thank you to the officer who helped in taking care of my dog and making sure he made it safely home.  Ann Arbor is a great place to live.
