Below is an email I received from an undisclosed forwarder. It is typical of the many daily emails going back and forth concerning delegates to the state and national conventions. I publish this, not because the forwarded is correct in it's facts and measure, but because it originator is one who complains about what people within the party say about what they and others are saying/doing within the party, even while they publish "interesting" statements about others. That is my perspective, that the statement below is significantly skewed by what it omits about Franklin, specifically that Franklin has served as a counterweight, within the party, to balance out those who will turn to partisan cheerleading over support for the principals of transparent and limited, government. Dave has held firm, while other, when they get to the inside circle do not.
If you caught any of Hannity - Klien - Rev Wright interviews, Rev Wright says the same thing about Obama (he got into the inner political circle and lost his principals).
Regardless of whether or not you agree with Ron Pauls posiitions, like everyone else you will agree that he had them and has kept them for 30 years. So in that way, Franklin is being true to what we say we want from people in politics and Bigler and others are.......well.....being like Obama.
It is also an interesting view of the factions within the GOP and who is on whose side at this moment in time. Which is interesting with my perspective as to what sides people have crossed over the last 2 years.
I also keep in mind that with the help of a little alcohol and a GOP win in November, these same adversaries will be sucking each others faces at the election night campaign parties.
So keep your sense of humor, read this with a grain of salt, and if anyone has the local Democrat version, I thnk many would find that amusing.

Beware of Dave Franklin
When I look at Dave’s flyer and the wonderful photo of him and his fiancée—two handsome, intelligent, vigorous young adults, I want to say “There is the future of the Republican Party!” Unfortunately, knowing what I know, I cannot. I have two problems with Dave’s flyer: what he did say and what he did not.
He did not tell you that he is a Campaign for Liberty activist and an ardent Ron Paul supporter. He said that he was a Conservative; he did not say that Ron Paul is not a conservative but a pro-life libertarian who does not advocate the defense of Israel which puts him at odds with most conservatives.
Dave did say that he was a Republican activist since 2007 but he did not say that he ran as a Democrat after that date. He did say that he worked as a staff member to Representative Rick Olson, who was not a C4Ler, but he did not say that that was a paid position. He did say that he worked thousands of hours for the GOP and the Conservative movement; he did not say that the bulk of that time was devoted to C4L activity and Ron Paul campaigns. He did say that he wants to promote the conservative platform; he did not say that he wants to promote the Ron Paul platform, agenda, and candidacy.
Here’s the topper. He said that we must get behind Mitt Romney but he did not tell you what he has been saying on Facebook about Mitt:
2/6: “Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, and Obama are all exactly the same…They are all big-government statists, and I’ll vote for none of them.”
5/5: Dave cites an article entitled: “Obama=Romney. No difference except the speeches.”
He also showed a photo of Obama and Romney with the caption: “If you vote for either man, you vote for WAR.”
5/13 (In response to a post entitled “DHS Whistleblower: Obama will Commit ‘Reichstag’ Event to Trigger Marital Law”) “Would not surpise me. If given the chance, Romney would do it too.”
5/14 (In a follow-up to the same post) “Whats the difference between one wanna be dictator and another? A letter next to their name?”
Since the most recent of these posts was made only 4 days ago, I leave it to you to decide you if think Dave has had a most miraculous conversion this week or if he is being much less than truthful with us.
It gives me no pleasure to report this to you. In the past, Dave and I have shared some good projects and good times together. But I cannot stand idly by while a charade is being perpetrated on our district delegates. Further, I cannot hold Tony DeMott, State Coordinator of the C4L, who is also running for national delegate, harmless since he has supported Dave’s candidacy. I have great difficulty believing that Tony was unaware of the posture that Dave was assuming. This is especially painful since it was not so long ago that I regarded Tony as a mentor.
Among my tea party and traditional GOP compatriots, open, honest, fair, and transparent elections and campaigns are highly prized. Putting the best face on your candidate is one thing but wholesale fabrication is another.
Dave, I suggest that you withdraw your candidacy immediately and that you apologize to the delegates forthwith.
I call for a deliberation as to whether Dave should be allowed to continue as a member of the GOP.
If you want to vote for two true Conservatives who were Conservatives yesterday, are today, and will be tomorrow, please vote for Greg Laycock for Washtenaw 12 National Delegate and Stan Watson for Alternate. Please see my attached letter of support.
