Mathnasium of Ann Arbor Hosting 2nd Annual Mathnasium National TriMathlon on September 29th

Ann Arbor, MI (August 21, 2012) - The 2nd annual Mathnasium National TriMathlon is coming! This FREE and FUN competition is open to all students from rising grades 3rd through 6th and has three parts:

The Counting Game - tests student’s ability to count from any number, to any number, by any number;

Magic Squares - students are awarded points for developing their own math problems;

Mental Math Workout - tests student’s Number Sense by asking them to solve given problems the ‘smart’ way without pencil and paper.

The top 3 national winners for each grade will receive part of a $10,000 cash prize pool! Local top winners will get XBOX 360 Kinect video games among other prizes. All participants will get goody bags and certificates. Registration is open to all, it is not necessary to be a current Mathnasium student.

The Mathnasium TriMathlon is designed to generate excitement about math by challenging children's mathematical thinking skills as well as their ability to compute in a fun environment. Mathnasium of Ann Arbor is proud to bring this exciting event to Ann Arbor and the surrounding communities again this year.
