My Life Secret, LLC announces the official re-launch of its popular tell-all, anonymous website, www.mylifesecret.com. Created by young entrepreneurs based in Flint, Michigan, the website is a real-time, 100% anonymous, secret-posting platform. My Life Secret provides a safe outlet for individuals to express themselves and seek out help when they have nowhere else to turn.

Philip and Saso Pirkovic launched the website in February 2011. Philip, 22, graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a dual degree in economics and business management, while 21-year-old Saso will graduate from the School of Management at the end of the year. At first, the brothers wanted to create a site that was comical and entertaining. Upon the original launch, they quickly realized that people were using the site as an outlet.

“Everyone deals with problems and we all know that there’s help available. However, there are roadblocks that prevent people from getting that help. Whether it be fear or embarrassment, My Life Secret breaks down those barriers,” said Philip.

With that in mind, and in addition to the skyrocketing rates of cyber bullying, depression, and suicide, the Pirkovics re-designed the mission of My Life Secret.

“It has gotten to the point that every one hour and 45 minutes, another 15-24 year old commits suicide. Flat out, that is unacceptable,” said Philip. “We saw this as an opportunity to make a difference,” said Saso.

After its initial launch, the Pirkovics were astounded by the amount of visitors and posts that the site quickly received. They knew that the website needed to be revamped to provide a platform that could effectively handle the traffic. They contacted Kettering University’s TechWorks program, which offered the young entrepreneurs with guidance and mentorship.

The brothers feel very strongly about the revitalization of the struggling economy in Flint, and wanted My Life Secret to reflect this sentiment. They teamed up with Kettering web development students to redesign My Life Secret, making the site user-friendly while giving it a facelift. A fellow University of Michigan-Flint marketing graduate, Taylor Hinds, redesigned the branding and graphics. The brothers are also looking at office spaces in the up and coming downtown corridor of Saginaw Street, and all promotional printing is done in the Flint area.

My Life Secret’s newest endeavor is called The SHHHHH Movement, an awareness campaign geared towards bullying and suicide. My Life Secret is now selling shirts emblazoned with “SHHHHH,” donating 20% of proceeds to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

“The goal is to ultimately save lives,’” said the eldest Pirkovic. “But we are taking a different approach to a serious issue, and bringing awareness to it in a creative way that grabs attention.”

My Life Secret will enlist the help of local celebrities in support of the SHHHHH Movement, including former Flintstone Mateen Cleeves, and up and coming rap star Jon Connor. They also have plans to reach out to other national celebrities, musicians, and athletes.

Philip and Saso Pirkovic plan to start the My Life Secret Foundation in the coming year, which will be used in conjunction with mylifesecret.com to combat bullying, suicide, and depression. They also have plans to release a mobile application, as well as a book series containing secrets that have never been published on the site.
