More than 900,000 Michigan residents are currently living with chronic kidney disease and most don’t even know it. The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) has partnered with the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) to fight against kidney disease in Michigan. Join us at Colonial Lanes (1950 S. Industrial Hwy, Ann Arbor) on Saturday, March 10th to participate in Bowlapalooza! Registration begins at noon and bowling is from 1:00pm to 4:00pm; preregistration is encouraged.

Register as an individual or team of up to 5 people and enjoy an exciting afternoon of bowling, a raffle, an auction, and more. In addition to activities, there will also be live music from the Ann Arbor Music Center Rock Band School and celebrity bowlers from University of Michigan sports teams!

Proceeds will benefit the NKFM’s Luann Scheppelmann-Eib Emergency Fund and EnhanceFitness program. The Emergency Fund provides a one-time grant of up to up to $100 for emergency needs of people with kidney disease. EnhanceFitness is a free exercise class that meets several times a week and focuses on cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, flexibility, and balance training by demonstrating fun and simple ways to exercise.

Individuals are $20 and teams (up to 5) are $90. Admission includes pizza, pop, and shoes. To register or learn more about Bowlapalooza, call the NKFM at 734-222-9800 or email Bob Meyer, bmeyer@nkfm.org, and Maureen Smith, msmith@nkfm.org.
