TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
I traveled from Beckley WV to Ann Arbor MI to purchase a vehicle at Dunning Toyota in Ann Arbor. I stayed at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center 2900 Jackson Ave, Ann Arbor MI on Sunday, May 6, 2012. It was late when I got there. I had just traveled 8 hours and was very tired. Checked into the room. I went to take a shower and no washcloths. Called the desk and they brought up two bath mats, said they didn’t have any washcloths. Then the shower didn’t work. I called and they sent a maintenance man. Then I checked out Monday morning May 7th. Purchased the car and headed home. Then on May 11, 2012 I noticed a charge of $250.00 on my credit card. I called Clarion and ask about the charge and they accused me of smoking in a non-smoking room. I told them it smelled that way when I checked in. I also told them that I don’t smoke. They didn't believe me. I called the Clarion corporate office to complain and they said they would investigate. But all they did was to call the hotel and ask them about it and called me back and said; housekeeping said they smelled cigarette smoke in the room. And that was it! I have never smoked. And I would be willing to go to a Dr to prove to them (Clarion) that I don’t. I don't appreciate being accused of something I didn't do and then charged for it also. I have also contacted my Credit Card Co. to dispute this charge and they are going to investigate. I think it’s awful that Clarion operates in a way that the costumer is wrong and housekeeping is right!! Thank you, Steve Colo, Jr.
