Dexter High School Alumnus, now Cadet John Brosch, was honored for outstanding academic achievement at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, during the both semesters of the 2011-2012 academic year. Brosch earned one of the college's top academic honors both semesters, a Gold Star.
Gold Stars are presented to students who achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher during a semester's course work. In addition, Brosch was placed on the Dean's List. Gold Star and Dean's List students were recognized during The Citadel's 2012 Military Dress Parade.
Cadet John Brosch has also been awarded an Army ROTC Scholarship. Brosch is seeking a bachelor's degree in Education. Outside of academics, Brosch is playing lacrosse at The Citadel as their starting goalie. Cadet Brosch was chosen by his teammates to be a Captain for 2012-2013 Lacrosse Team.
