Students meet from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at U-M STAC, 1202 Kipke Drive. Students bring brown bag lunches. Snacks are provided. Performances will be on July 19 and 20 at Washtenaw Community College.
The Ann Arbor Young Actors Guild Summer Theatre Academy provides student-centered theatre education in a relaxed camp-like setting. The program includes training in theatre and technical theatre skills for all ages, as well as associated art forms such as movement, voice, art puppetry, improvisation, mime, and stage combat. Each group will work towards a full production which will be presented at the end of the two-week session. During the fun-packed session many good friendships are formed. Students return year after year to renew these friendships.
