Remembering Mrs. Rizzo - A Kind, Compassionate Soul

Please let me introduce myself. My name is Amit Kshirsagar.

I am from Ann Arbor, Michigan.

You maybe wondering why I am writing to you?

In 1984, in the 7th grade at Texas A&M Consolidated Junior High, I was in Mrs. Rizzo's 7th grade Algebra class.

I was born in Bryan, College Station in 1972, but since 1977, after we moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan, where my father was a Professor of Biostatistics and have lived there ever since.

My parents and I love the Texas hospitality and culture. That is why he always chose to teach there on Summer Sabbatical, until his retirement in 2005.

I continued my education in Ann Arbor, Michigan and eventually completed my Master of Arts Degree in Statistics.

But, I will never forget that Mrs. Rizzo said that she will miss me when I returned back up to Ann Arbor.

Though life went on and as the years flew by,

My fond memories for Mrs. Dottie Rizzo will never die.
