Sylvan Clean Slate Barbecue on Saturday

Doug Smith, candidate for Sylvan Township Clerk, would like to invite everyone in Sylvan Township to a barbecue at his house on Saturday, July 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  Stop by for at least a few minutes, have a hot dog, chat with other residents of our beautiful township, and get to know some of the candidates for office running as the "Clean Slate".  At least 1-2 other candidates will be on hand in addition to Doug.

 

Doug & Karen's address is 16940 Heim Rd., Chelsea, Michigan.  As Doug has said and I can attest to, "Our driveway is a half mile long, so ignore the first house on the driveway and keep going through the woods until you come to our gray two story house on the hill."

 

Regardless of who you end up voting for in August, let's make this into something we do at least once every year as the Sylvan community.  By getting together like this, we're reducing the distance between the government and the governed.  That's an accomplishment in itself.
