Ann Arbor, MI – The Ann Arbor Jaycees would like to thank the more than 1100 children and parents who joined us last Saturday April 7th, at Southeast Park to celebrate the 14th annual Ann Arbor Jaycees’ Spring Eggstravaganza.

Children of all ages had a chance to enjoy egg scrambles for candy prizes along with photos with the Easter Bunny, balloon animals, face painting, arts and crafts, games and dancing.

The Spring Eggstravaganza was staffed completely by volunteers.  In addition to the Ann Arbor Jaycees, volunteers included Michigan Jaycees, Ann Arbor Teens for Kids (www.aatfk.org) and Debbie D’s Photography (www.debbiedsphotography.com).

The Spring Eggstravaganza was also supported by generous donations from Wal-Mart, Colonial Lanes and the Ann Arbor Jaycees Foundation. The day would not have been complete without the warm drinks from Coffee House Creamery, the balloon animals of Janice Price, the firefighters from the Ann Arbor Fire Department and the dance beats of DJ Kyle Pullen.

The Spring Eggstravaganza, in addition to being a fun family event, is an opportunity to raise money for other community organizations.  This year, due to everyone’s generous donations, over $460 was raised for the American Cancer Society.

The Ann Arbor Jaycees look forward to celebrating with the Ann Arbor community throughout 2012.  We can’t wait to see you at the 61st Summer Carnival and the 22nd annual Fourth of July Parade in just a few months.  Visit www.a2jaycees.org for more information.
