The War of the Worlds - in Ypsilanti

Jazz Planet is a new take on the H.G. Wells classic novel, The War of the Worlds. It is an illustrated podcast, an audio program accompanied by illustrations. Jazz Planet can be streamed from www.JazzPlanet2012.com.

While Jazz Planet uses the basic premise of the H.G. Wells novel, the story is completely different. Much like H.G. Wells did, the author of Jazz Planet set the story in his own home town of Ypsilanti.

Producing a version of The War of the Worlds on Halloween has become something of an American tradition, ever since the famous 1938 radio broadcast of The War of  the Worlds by Orson Welles.
