September 15th is the last day for people to donate non-perishable food at Weight Watchers Centers throughout Michigan for Gleaner’s Community Food Bank. Weight Watchers Group members, as well as the general public have contributed to the cause for weeks in support of the company’s 5th Annual Lose for Good program. Saturday will be celebrated with free and open meetings, raffle prizes, joining incentives and more.

In addition, Weight Watchers will continue to donate money in the fight against hunger for every pound members lose through Oct. 20. Locally, the money is used to provide breakfast to needy Michigan students across the state.

Food donations can be dropped off in: Oak Valley Village Center, 2809 Oak Valley, Ann Arbor. Saturday’s event runs from 8-10 a.m.

“This initiative not only helps to fight hunger right here in Michigan, but it raises awareness for the issue and allows others to help make a positive difference in our neighbors’ lives,” said Florine Mark, President and CEO of Weight Watchers Group.
