Feb. 22, 2011, Dexter, Mich. – The Educational Foundation of Dexter (EFD) is pleased to announce that the location of their 2011 gala auction on March 19 has been moved to the Ann Arbor Country Club (AACC), located at 4699 E. Loch Alpine Drive in the Loch Alpine neighborhood, due to the sudden closing of North Point Seafood & Steakhouse.

“We are excited that we are able to hold our annual event in this beautiful space located within the Dexter School district,” says Jennifer Sortor, co-chair of the auction. “Our thanks go to Mike Weikle at AACC who was able to make this happen so quickly and supports our cause to provide innovative educational programs to the students in Dexter.”

The spacious location will enable the EFD to showcase its numerous auction donations, including a chocolate labradoodle puppy being donated by the Sloan Family, which will be on site that evening.

“We appreciate that the EFD wants their auction to remain a Dexter community event and are honored that they chose us,” says AACC executive manager Mike Weikle. “We look forward to showcasing the culinary talents of our new kitchen staff and helping the foundation hold a memorable event.”

Tickets are $75 each and may be purchased online using PayPal at www.efdexter.org .  Click on the EFD 2010 Auction page for more information.

Each year, thousands of dollars are awarded to teachers in all of the Dexter schools through an approved grant process.
