from Judy: "Any judge that refuses to read or even look a Plaintiff's documents should not be a judge and I have never been a plaintiff or a defenant in front of Judge Connor's."
the reverse is equally true -- and since this is the ethics discussion, some recent contrast seems valuable:
It applies when ('Judge') Timothy Connors entertains himself by refusing to look at or read defendant's (in pro per) documents, especially when plaintiff's atty (P741xx) was from FINK & VOLVO! ('Judge') Timothy Connors had THREE opportunities to get acquainted with the case, and upon detailed inspection, failed/refused to do so by all appearances in my opinion. After all, plaintiff's atty was from FINK & VOLVO, why bother (shirking here?). Further, defendant, in pro per (means I was too poor at that instant to hire help).
Postponement [-AVAILABLE !!-] was diligently requested (in transcript) for the purpose of obtaining legal counsel since i was in over my head. WHAT? Delay the inevitability of ("Judge") Timothy Connor's pre-judgement because FINK & VOLVO were on the other side and my wife was having spinal surgery (parapalegic possibility) at the same time. Rush this little kid along, no way he's gonna get heard and i'm gonna prohibit a legal extention to reinforce my speedy disposition. that precludes all that messy trial stuff which('Judge') Timothy Connors propounds to 'value' is my opinion based on actual events.

('Judge' Timothy) Connors: "The biggest challenge is ensuring that both sides of a case feel they’ve been heard and listened to" [or given short shrift erratically]. "That can be difficult if there’s an imbalance of power," [in pro per asking for time to get counsel against FINK & VOLVO's P741xx's attempts to -balance- the power, but ignored (transcript) in my witnessed opinion] "and if one side has more resources or a stronger personality." [That was patently displayed, (in my opinion - i was there) by refusing even to let pro per WATCH a few motions first before getting told to leave court - get out of here kid.] "You have to make sure there’s an even playing field. That’s a big challenge, and stressful." [ok, relieve the stress, unelect yourself or let the voters do it in your, and OUR, favor - we lesser 'powers' locally.]
('Judge' Timothy Connors) "He said he takes the job very seriously because the decisions affect people’s lives, oftentimes profoundly. But he tries not to take himself too seriously, because a judge needs to bring a measure of humor and compassion to the situation."
Musta been his off day in my witnessed opinion, when I thought accuracy, character and compassion would be involved, my bad? and, yes, it sure as [deleted] "profoundly affected lives." But ya gotta pay attention first, unless plaintiff is from FINK & VOLVO and defendant is some nobody defending against a 'paper hanger' all by himself anticipating the postponement that WOULD have brought in a RealLawyer (tm) -- (the money was just a few dollars short (at the moment of the extention request) and fully available two days later.
('Judge' Timothy) "Connors said he believes that judges should be healers of controversy. The law should help and restore, not hurt. The powerful and the powerless should have an equal playing field in the courtroom, he concluded." My experience, and opinion, is that ('Judge' Timothy) Connors certainly speaks out of the other side of his mouth (transcript) when defendant is pro per (and in proces of getting counsel, denied). ('Judge' Timothy) Connors demonstated (transcript on video, not erased) his anti-healing and non-restorative pre-judgements on that one.
"... powerful and powerless >should have< equal playing field." FAT CHANCE with an erratic personality. ('Judge' Timothy Connors' 'help' and 'restore' bucket were somewhere else but could be FOUND inside my motions. Those HELP and RESTORE and SOLVE buckets existed and were full-up, had they been comprehended, to settle the little snit that FINK & VOLVO found so profitible.
('Judge' Timothy) Connors: "He said he holds the right to a jury trial very dear – it’s one of the greatest things about the American system." so dear as to prohibit it when a fiat declaration will suffice in absence of evidence.
NOTE: i have no connection with anyone on this blog, and ianal. I DO, however, have a connection with truth, justice and the American way when its not Timothy-twisted.
"goonnight and goonluck" and good voting.
i look forward to your thoughts, i really do. tia.
