'Acoustic Cafe' offering free weekend in town for the Ann Arbor Folk Festival

By Bob Needham

The Ark has paired up with the nationally syndicated, locally created radio show "Acoustic Cafe" to offer giveaway for a special weekend in Ann Arbor to enjoy the Ann Arbor Folk Festival.

It's the third annual festival giveaway for "Acoustic Cafe," but this year the Ann Arbor Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is also a partner, greatly expanding the prize.

The two-night Ann Arbor Folk Festival is the major fundraiser for The Ark, Ann Arbor's famous acoustic/roots music club. The festival takes place Jan. 25-26 at Hill Auditorium. For more on the festival, see The Ark's website.

According to an email from "Acoustic Cafe" host Rob Reinhart, the prize includes all the following:

• A pair of great seats for both festival nights at historic Hill Auditorium • Up to $1000 in travel expenses to Ann Arbor • 2 nights hotel accommodations at The Holiday Inn & Suites • $200 in spending money • Dinner with Acafe's Rob Reinhart before the Friday performances at Zingerman's • Nightcap and dessert at Mercy's • Mid-show backstage receptions Friday and Saturday • VIP dinner reception on Saturday • Attendance at a couple Acoustic Cafe in-studio sessions on Friday and/or Saturday

All it takes to enter is a simple email. Just e-mail rob@acafe.com with the words "Folk Festival" in the subject line and some way to contact you, or go to www.Acafe.com. Deadline to enter is Jan. 3.
