See Ann Arbor poet Aimee Le's recent performance at the Kennedy Center online

Ann Arbor poet Aimee Le — a junior at Dartmouth College and a two-time member of the Ann Arbor youth slam team featured in the HBO documentary, “Brave New Voices” — recently performed with Grammy-winning hip hop artsist ?uestlove and Black Thought of The Roots, as well as DC go-go band Mambo Sauce, in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall on Sunday, July 18. This Millennium Stage performance is now available for viewing online.

The event was part of "An American Playlist: Three Evenings Celebrating the Performing Arts," which marked the culmination of the Arts in Crisis 50 State Tour. Last year, Kennedy Center President Michael M. Kaiser launched a nationwide tour of 69 arts community conversations in all 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.
