Ann Arbor-based potter Stanford Baker, who has a booth on Main Street as part of the Summer Art Fair, revealed at a recent press event that when he first sold his work at the Ann Arbor Art Fairs decades ago, he did so as a "squatter" in the alley near the Michigan Theater.

With that in mind, I peeked my head into the alley on Wednesday to see if anyone was trying to do the same this year. But this was what I found:

Michael Jackson may have died, but his local dancing impersonator is still with us.

And in some ways, it's weirdly reassuring that some things in town just never change, Art Fairs or no.
