The Ann Arbor-based pop/rock band Kisses For Charity was recently selected to perform at the Pontiac Silverdome for the American Ultimate Disc League national championship game on Aug. 11. In conjunction with this event, the band will do a special VIP meet and greet with Big Family of Michigan, an organization that aims to make life better for children waiting to be adopted.

Kisses For Charity formed in late 2011 and has shared the stage with national recording artists including Ryan Cabrera (Atlantic Records), William Becket (from The Academy Is), and Jon Walker (from Panic! At The Disco). The band recently released their debut E.P., "This One's For You," and plans on touring to promote it next year.

Kisses For Charity is, itself, a family. David Siev and his two cousins, twins Mike and Matt Tan, all grew up together with a love for music. Eventually the three came together to start a band. They tour on weekends while remaining full-time students at the University of Michigan.

Frontman Siev named the band after an episode of the Nickelodeon show "iCarly"; and before Charity featured its current lineup, Siev put on self-promoted charity benefit shows to help raise money (more than $3,000 total) for organizations like Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention, J/P Haitian Relief Organization, Blood Water, Smiles For Christmas, and many more.
