The Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase has announced a date change for two appearances by hot comedian Aziz Ansari: He will now appear Monday, June 13, one week earlier than previously announced, due to a glitch in his touring schedule.

Tickets sold for June 20 will be honored on the 13th. The Showcase is working to contact current ticket holders to let them know of the change.

Ansari— costar of the NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation" as well as a major name on the stand-up circuit—will do two sets at the Showcase, at 7 and 9:30 p.m.

Ansari plays Tom Haverford on "Parks and Recreation," and in the past he starred on MTV's "Human Giant" and costarred on latter episodes of "Scrubs." His movie credits include "Funny People" and "Get Him to the Greek," as well as the upcoming "30 Minutes or Less," filmed in Grand Rapids.

His stand-up was featured on the CD/DVD "Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening," released last year.

TIckets for the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase appearances are $22. They are now on sale via the Showcase website or by phone at 734-996-9080.
