Ann Arbor's Andrew W.K. to perform million-volt keyboard solo with David Blaine

By Bob Needham

Get rocker Andrew W.K. and illusionist/stunt creator David Blaine together and the results are bound to be interesting. And possibly dangerous.

Pitchfork reports that W.K., an Ann Arbor native who's celebrating the 10th anniversary of his landmark "I Get Wet" album, will play a key role in Blaine's latest project in New York on Sunday: "Andrew will perform a unique keyboard solo using a tesla coil powered instrument in which David Blaine will be imprisoned as 1,000,000 volts of party music surge through his body."

I'm not even sure what that means, but I kind of wish I could be there.
