AnnArbor.com announces winners of Summer Festival Big Ticket Giveaway

Laurie Carpenter of Ann Arbor was the grand prize winner. She wins a package worth almost $500, encompassing two tickets each to Ira Glass, the Moth Mainstage, Rufus Wainwright, the Capitol Steps and Circa.

Carpenter, a Michigan native who earned her MSW from the University of Michigan in 2005, heard about the contest on Facebook and wrote in an email that she is particularly looking forward to the Rufus Wainwright concert. An Ann Arbor resident for about five years, she said the Summer Festival's Top of the Park events are always a favorite.

Joan Lansdell won second prize, two tickets each to Ira Glass, Nellie McKay, The Capitol Steps and Circa. Patrick Haggood won third prize, two tickets each to Pilobolus, Nellie McKay and the Capitol Steps. Gloria Suarez won special bonus tickets by getting friends to enter.
