Area singer-songwriter is finalist in international competition

An original song by singer / songwriter Angela Predhomme of Hamburg Township won finalist placement in a major international song contest which featured Paul McCartney as a judge. Other judges for Song of the Year’s December 2009 competition included Sting, Rihanna, Faith Hill and George Strait.

Predhomme’s “This Might Be Good” is an upbeat song about the excitement of a blossoming relationship. It was produced in Ferndale at The Tempermill studio. Listen to Angela Predhomme “This Might Be Good” (MP3).

On Friday, March 26, Predhomme will perform solo at the Plymouth Coffee Bean Company along with fellow Michigan songwriters Bobby Pennock and the acoustic/folk group Gather ‘Round. The performance begins at 8 p.m. at 884 Penniman Avenue in downtown Plymouth. Predhomme has been active in commercial songwriting for the past 5 years and is a classically trained vocalist. Her songs have received several awards and her music has been licensed for various commercial uses, including TV production company Telepictures in Burbank, Calif., and other public uses. Her song “Everything is Alright” has also received regular airplay on WJIM radio in Lansing. “This Might Be Good” is available from iTunes and major digital retailers.
