One of the best and most well-known collection of humor sites on the Internet is the Cheezburger Network. It includes more than 30 popular sites such as I Can Has Cheezburger (also known as LOL Cats), the FAIL Blog, There I Fixed It and Lovely Listing. The sites claim more than 13 million unique visitors per month.

Cheezburger Network founder and CEO Ben Huh will appear at the downtown Ann Arbor District Library, 343 S. Fifth Ave., for a free public event at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5.

Ben Huh founded his company, Pet Holdings, in 2007 to start buying up web sites he liked; since then, his company has grown and consistently been profitable, even in the middle of a recession.

A Time profile from last year identifies Huh's achievement: "More than anything else, Huh seems to have a knack for nailing the zeitgeist. Any of his sites, after all, could easily have become yet another passing online craze. (Remember the Numa Numa Guy?) Pet Holdings' page views, however, are growing at an annual clip of 300 percent..."

The library event is recommended for adults and teens in grade 6 and above. Admission is free and no registration is required, but it is expected to fill up, so early arrival is suggested.
