In addition to those listed in the article, another movie, Flipped, is in the yet-to-be-released, made-in-A2 category. It's due out in September 2010.

Whip It! had scenes shot in the Ypsilanti at the Elbow Room, the 7-11 on the corner of Ellsworth and Hewitt, in the interior and backyard of a house on Summit street close to where it meets Michigan Ave, and in the neighborhood off of Forest past Prospect on the east side. I was an extra in that movie, so that's what my vote went to! There were also scenes shot in Saline (and Detroit) but I'm not sure exactly where.

Ack! I misread that as "Last American Virgin" and I was worried that they were remaking that 80s, er, "classic". That ending still ticks me off, 20 years later!

It would be great to have a map showing the locations where each of these was filmed in town.
